Text
(a)The State shall grant to any employee leave from employment to participate as a member of the United States Team in any competition sanctioned by the United States Olympic Committee. Any leave so granted shall not exceed the time required for actual participation in the competition, plus a reasonable time for travel and return from the site of the competition and a reasonable time for precompetition training with the team at the site, or 90 working days, whichever is less. The State shall compensate the employee at the employee’s regular rate of pay during any leave granted for participation in such Olympic competition. Pay for each day of leave shall not exceed the amount the employee would receive for a standard workday and the employee shall not be paid for any day spent on such lea
