Text

(a)On and after January 1, 1938, benefits shall become payable from the Benefit Account of the District Unemployment Fund.
(1)Subject to the limitations set forth in this section, an individual's weekly benefit amount shall be equal to one twenty-sixth (computed to the next higher multiple of $1) of the individual's total wages for insured work paid during the quarter of the individual's base period in which such total wages were highest.
(2)Effective October 1, 2016, the maximum weekly benefit amount shall be $425.
(A)Effective January 1, 2018, and for each calendar year thereafter, the maximum weekly benefit amount shall be determined by the Director of the Department of Employment Services, subject to subparagraph (C) of this paragraph, by using the Department of Labor St
