(a)There is established a Domestic Violence Criminal Justice Response and Enhancement Advisory Council for the purpose of evaluating and advising on the following matters, including, but not limited to:
(1)Policies and procedures used by law enforcement agencies when responding to incidents of family violence, including reviewing and updating the model law enforcement policy on family violence for the state established in section 46b-38b, (2) the accuracy of data collected by the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection under section 46b-38d, and the Court Support Services Division under section 46b-38f, and collecting and analyzing any additional data related to domestic violence and the criminal justice response available from Judicial Branch court operations, state's att

(a) by changing the name of the council from “Family Violence Model Policy Governing Council” to “Domestic Violence Criminal Justice Response and Enhancement Advisory Council” and delineating council's duties in Subsec. (a)(1) to (12), substantially amended Subsec. (b) by revising council membership in Subdivs. (1) to (19), amended Subsec. (e) by replacing an obsolete date reference re first meeting of council with provision requiring chairpersons to “be responsible for scheduling the meetings of the council”, amended Subsec. (f) by replacing “public safety” with “the judiciary” re committee of cognizance serving as administrative staff of council and amended Subsec. (g) re content of annual report to include statutory or policy changes within the purview of the council and recommended updates or amendments to domestic violence offender program standards, established in Sec. 46b-38m, effective July 1, 2023 (Revisor's note: In Subsec. (a), the word “Family”, which appeared in the engrossed bill before the deleted words “Violence Model Policy Governing Council”, was removed editorially by the Revisors for accuracy); P.A. 24-24 made a technical change in Subsec. (a)(2).
