§ 42-115t — Cash register read-outs to be visible to consumer. Violations. Enforcement.
Connecticut·Title 42 Business, Selling, Trading and Collection Practices·Ch. 736 Unfair Sales Practices
(a)No person, partnership, association or corporation shall use in the ordinary course of business any cash register or machine or device of similar function which does not produce a read-out conspicuous to the consumer on the front or back of such register. The requirements of this section shall not apply to any retail food store, supermarket or any business establishment which provides such cash register, machine or device in each department or provides the consumer at the time of the sales transaction with a sales slip, receipt or similar document which describes the item purchased.
