(a)A temporary liquor permit for a noncommercial entity shall allow the sale of beer, spirits or wine at any fundraising event, outing, picnic or social gathering conducted by a bona fide noncommercial entity, club or golf country club, as described in subsection (g) of section 30-22a, which noncommercial entity, club or golf country club shall be the backer of the permittee under such permit. No for-profit business entity may be the backer of any such permittee. Each temporary liquor permit for a noncommercial entity shall also allow the retail sale of beer, spirits or wine at an in-person or online auction, provided such auction is held as part of a fundraising event to benefit the tax-exempt activities of the noncommercial entity, club or golf country club.
