Text
Boards of county commissioners, acting for their respective counties, are
authorized to acquire by donation, by purchase, or by eminent domain proceedings
in the name of such boards any private or public property necessary for the
improvement or construction of state highways. Said boards have authority to
contract with the department of transportation to pay for all or any part of such
property so acquired.
