Text
(1)There is hereby created the office of chief
engineer. The chief engineer shall be a licensed professional engineer with a
minimum of ten years' responsible engineering experience, including management
and organization in the field of highway engineering.
(2)The chief engineer shall be appointed by the executive director pursuant
to section 13 of article XII of the state constitution and shall be employed by the
executive director of the department of transportation pursuant to the provisions of
the constitution and laws of the state.
