§ 43-2-134 — Certification of designations - notice of change

(1)Within thirty days after December 31, 1979, the department of transportation shall certify by brief description in duplicate to the governing body and to the clerk of each municipality which streets, together with the bridges or other structures thereon, if any, in such municipality are presently designated as part of the state highway system as defined in this part 1.
(2)Thereafter, the department of transportation shall inform each municipality of any change in designation that has occurred within its jurisdiction not later than sixty working days after the change.
(3)No change shall be made in the designation of such street as a part of the state highway system without prior notice to the municipality and without opportunity for hearing before the commission.
