Text
Whenever any county or
group of counties undertakes the construction of any highway project which
involves the expenditure of highway users tax funds and federal funds, it is the duty
of the department of transportation to inspect such projects at such times as the
department of transportation considers necessary for the purpose of determining
that such project is being built to the prescribed standard.
