Text
(1)The office of
director of the division is hereby created. Any other provision of the law to the
contrary notwithstanding, the board, with the consent of the executive director,
shall appoint the director, who shall possess such qualifications as may be
established by the board and the state personnel board. The director shall oversee
the discharge of all responsibilities of the division. The director shall devote his
entire time to the service of the state in the discharge of his official duties and shall
not hold any other public office. The appointment or removal of the director shall be
subject to the provisions of section 13 of article XII of the state constitution.
(2)The division, the office of director thereof, and the board are type 1 entities, as defined in section 2
