Text

(1)The department shall establish a cost recovery center within the state highway fund. Except for revenue required to be credited to the state highway fund as specified in subsection (2) of this section, the department shall deposit permit fees collected under this part 4 in the cost recovery center to carry out its duties under this part 4. The fee structure shall be reviewed by the department every four years.
(2)The department shall expend all revenue collected pursuant to section 43-1-420 to defray the costs of administering specific information signs, business signs installed on specific information signs, and tourist-oriented directional signs and shall credit all other revenue collected pursuant to this part 4 to the state highway fund.
