Text

A driver or other person in charge or control of a truck, automobile, or other vehicle transporting or carrying live sheep, swine, goats, horses, mules, or domestic fowl, or the carcasses of such animals, upon demand of any peace officer of the state, shall exhibit to the peace officer the driver's or other person's permit to carry the livestock, domestic fowl, or carcasses or, in lieu of exhibiting such a permit, shall make a written statement that contains the same information as is specified in section 35-53-121.
