Text
Upon receipt of the petition, the board of
directors shall certify, by proper resolution, the petition to the district court of the
county in which the territory is located, and the district court shall thereupon
proceed to the appointment of a designated election official to hold an election, as
provided in section 32-4-408 (4). On the effective date of the ordinance or
resolution, the clerk of the governing body of the municipality shall forthwith
transmit a certified copy thereof to the board of directors of the district and to the
division of local government in the department of local affairs.
