§ 30-11-402 — Legislative declaration
It is the intent of the general assembly
in the enactment of this part 4 to provide an alternative and additional means to
provide law enforcement for the citizens of this state, especially those residing in
developed or developing unincorporated areas of counties, to combat the rising
crime rate therein, and to better assist police and other law enforcement agencies
in the prevention of crime and in the detection and apprehension of criminal
offenders.
