(1)A county clerk shall be elected in each county of this state for the term of four years and, except as provided in subsection (2) of this section, before entering upon the duties of the office, shall execute to the people of the state of Colorado, and file with the county clerk then in office, a bond with two or more sufficient sureties in the sum of not less than five thousand dollars, to be affixed and approved by the board of county commissioners according to law, with conditions in substance as follows: Whereas, The above bounden ........ was elected to the office of the county clerk of ........, on the ........ day of ........, Now, therefore, if the said ........ shall faithfully perform all the duties of the office, and shall pay over all moneys that may come into the h
