Text
The general assembly hereby declares
that it is in the interest of the state to control, reduce, and prevent air pollution
caused by wood smoke. It is therefore the intent of this part 4 to significantly
reduce particulate and carbon monoxide emissions caused by burning wood by
developing an evaluation and certification program, in the department of public
health and environment, for the sale of wood stoves in Colorado and by
encouraging the air quality control commission to continue efforts to educate the
public about the effects of wood smoke and the desirability of achieving reduced
wood smoke emissions. The general assembly hereby finds that it is beneficial to
the state to implement a program of voluntary no-burn days whenever the air
quality control division determines that
