Text
(1)The
board is authorized, by rule, to establish a schedule of fees based on the direct and
indirect costs incurred in designating facilities. In addition, the department is
authorized to collect the appropriate fee on the schedule. The board may adjust
fees in amounts necessary to cover such costs. The fees collected pursuant to this
section shall be deposited in the trauma system cash fund created by subsection
(2)of this section.
(2)There is hereby created in the state treasury a statewide trauma care
system cash fund. All moneys in the fund shall be subject to appropriation by the
general assembly for allocation to the department to administer the trauma system.
Any moneys in the fund not appropriated shall remain in the fund and shall not be
transferred or revert to the
