Text

(1)The executive director of the department of public health and environment shall establish a cathode ray tube recycling pilot program, only if the department has received a grant, gift, or bequest pursuant to subsection (3) of this section that is sufficient to do so, for the purpose of:
(a)Minimizing the number of cathode ray tube products that are disposed of within Colorado, including through public education regarding:
(I)Why the disposal of cathode ray tube products in landfills should be minimized; and
(II)How to recycle cathode ray tube products;
(b)Developing local markets and business opportunities based on the recycling and reuse of cathode ray tube products;
(c)Encouraging private industry and public-private partnerships to undertake research and development
