As used in this part 4, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1)Conrad 30 J-1 visa waiver program means the program established in 8
U.S.C. sec. 1184 (l)(1)(D)(ii), allowing foreign-trained physicians who meet certain
criteria to practice in communities designated as medically underserved areas,
medically underserved populations, or health professional shortage areas.
(2)Department means the department of public health and environment,
created in section 25-1-102.
(3)Executive director means the executive director of the department.
(4)Health-care professional means a licensed physician, an advanced
practice registered nurse registered pursuant to section 12-255-111, a mental health
practitioner, a licensed physician assistant, or any other licensed health-care
