Text

(1)Subject to available appropriations, beginning in the 2022-23 state fiscal year, the department shall develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing statewide prevention and education campaign to address the fentanyl education needs in the state. In the prevention and education campaign, the prevention services division shall provide information to the general public about fentanyl, its dangers, precautionary measures to avoid risks and prevent harm caused by fentanyl, resources for addiction treatment and services, and laws regarding fentanyl, including criminal penalties and immunity for reporting an overdose event pursuant to section 18-1-711. Any unexpended money remaining at the end of the 2022-23 state fiscal year from this appropriation:
