Text
(1)At the direction of the
governor, the attorney general is further authorized to acquire fee simple title, or
lesser interest therein, to said lands and rights pertaining or appurtenant thereto, or
other interests therein, in the name of the state of Colorado, by donation, purchase,
or by the exercise of the power of eminent domain through condemnation
proceedings in accordance with law. The attorney general is further authorized to
receive and apply gifts of money to be used in the acquisition of such lands and to
contract for such services as may be required and to institute other types of legal
proceedings and take such further action as may be necessary to fully accomplish
his or her duties as prescribed in this part 3.
(2)Such lands and rights pertaining thereto shall be
