§ 24-1-112 — Department of the treasury - creation
(1)There is hereby created
a department of the treasury, the head of which shall be the state treasurer.
(2)(a) The department of the treasury, created in article 36 of this title 24, is
a type 2 entity, as defined in section 24-1-105, and exercises its powers and
performs its duties and functions as specified by law and subject to the state
constitution.
(b)The office of the state treasurer is a type 2 entity, as defined in section
24-1-105, and exercises its powers and performs its duties and functions as vested
by law or the state constitution in the office of the state treasurer, subject to the
state constitution.
