Text
(1)(a) The society shall issue or deny permits for the
investigation, excavation, gathering, or removal from the natural state of any
historical, prehistorical, and archaeological resources within the state and
determine whether or not the applicants for such permits are duly qualified to
conduct investigations in the field for which the permit is requested.
(b)The issuance, denial, or revocation of permits shall be made in conformity
with article 4 of this title.
(2)Permits shall carry the following stipulations, in addition to such others
as the society may require:
(a)The investigations, excavations, gatherings, and removals shall be
undertaken only for the benefit of reputable museums, universities, colleges, or
other recognized scientific or educational institutions, wi
