§ 24-60-1202 — State education council created
There is hereby created the
Colorado education council, composed of the members of the education
commission of the states representing this state and such other persons as may be
appointed by the governor for terms not to exceed three years. Such other persons
shall be selected so as to be broadly representative of professional and lay
interests within this state having the responsibilities for, knowledge with respect to,
and interest in educational matters. The chairman shall be designated by the
governor from among the council's members. The council shall meet on the call of
its chairman or at the request of a majority of its members, but in any event the
council shall meet not less than three times in each calendar year. The council may
