Text
(1)The secretary of state
has the power to request to examine or cause to be examined the books and
records of any individual who has received or is seeking to renew a certificate of
registration as a lobbyist as such books and records may relate to lobbying.
(2)Failure of a registrant or an applicant for renewal of the certificate of
registration to comply with a request from the secretary of state to furnish the
information in subsection (1) of this section shall be grounds for the secretary of
state to proceed to use his powers to revoke or suspend a certificate of registration
or bar an individual from registration as provided in section 24-6-305.
