§ 24-54-103 — Prior service benefits
Employees of a county, municipality,
political subdivision, or other participating entity that adopts a retirement plan or
system may receive prior service benefits not to exceed five years to be funded
entirely by the county, municipality, political subdivision, or other participating
entity; but prior service benefits in excess of five years may be allowed if funded
entirely by the employee.
