Service credit earned by a member
during the most recent period of membership shall be combined with the service
credit associated with the existing member contribution account of such member.
Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, members exercising portability
between the Denver public schools division and other association divisions are
governed by the provisions of section 24-51-1747, retirees suspending retirement or
reduced service retirement benefits are governed by section 24-51-1103 (1), and
DPS retirees suspending retirement benefits are governed by section 24-51-1726.5.
