Text

(1)A relative of a victim, even though the relative was not a dependent of the victim, is eligible for compensation for reasonable medical, funeral, or burial expenses for the victim, if:
(a)Such expenses were paid by the relative; and
(b)The relative files a claim in the manner provided in this part 1.
