Text

(1)There is hereby created in each judicial district a crime victim compensation board. Each board is composed of three members to be appointed by the district attorney. The district attorney shall designate one of the members as chairperson. To the extent possible, members shall fairly reflect the population of the judicial district.
(2)The term of office of each member of the board shall be three years; except that, of those members first appointed, one shall be appointed for a three-year term, one for a two-year term, and one for a one-year term. All vacancies, except through the expiration of term, shall be filled for the unexpired term only. Each member may be reappointed once and serve two consecutive terms.
