Text

(1)All commissioned and noncommissioned officers and troopers of the Colorado state patrol, before promotion, shall be required to serve the designated period of time in each grade as provided in this section. A trooper shall serve a period of three years as such before the trooper is eligible to compete in the examination for promotion to a noncommissioned officer's rank. All commissioned and noncommissioned officers shall serve a period of one year in a grade before they are eligible to compete in promotional examinations. All commissioned and noncommissioned officers and troopers shall fulfill all requirements as set forth in the job specifications for their particular positions by the state personnel director.
