Text

(1)The director of the division shall implement a building inspector and plans examiner certification program to comply with the provisions of sections 22-32-124 (2) and 23-71-122 (1)(v), C.R.S., that evaluates the education, training, and experience of each inspector and ensures that the inspectors hold current national certifications that require continuing education. The director of the division shall require that each inspector be recertified every three years.
(2)Plans examiners for plan review and building inspectors for construction inspections shall be certified in their respective fields by the international code council, or another similar national organization, and have demonstrated education, training, and experience in their respective fields.
