Text
(1)There is created in the department of local affairs the office of rural
development. The executive director of the department of local affairs, subject to
the provisions of section 13 of article XII of the state constitution, shall appoint the
coordinator of rural development, which position is hereby created, who shall be the
head of the office.
(2)The office and the coordinator of rural development are type 2 entities,
as defined in section 24-1-105, and exercise their powers and perform their duties
and functions specified in this part 8 under the department of local affairs.
