Text

(1)There is hereby created within the department of local affairs a division of planning, the head of which shall be the director of the division of planning, which office is hereby created. The director shall be appointed by the executive director, subject to the provisions of section 13 of article XII of the state constitution, and such director shall be qualified by training or experience in planning and capital programming. The director shall appoint the necessary staff of his division in accordance with the provisions of section 13 of article XII of the state constitution.
(2)The division of planning and the office of the director of the division of planning are type 2 entities, as defined in section 24-1-105, and exercise their powers and perform their duties and function
