Text
(1)There is created within the
department an office of the state architect, the head of which is the state architect.
The state architect is designated by the executive director of the department,
subject to the provisions of section 13 of article XII of the state constitution, and the
state architect must be qualified by training in architecture and planning. The state
architect shall appoint the necessary staff of the office of the state architect in
accordance with the provisions of section 13 of article XII of the state constitution.
(2)The state architect shall exercise all powers necessary and proper for the
discharge of his or her duties as specified in this part 13 and part 14 of this article.
