§ 24-112-101 — Effective date - applicability
(1)This code shall take effect on
January 1, 1982. The provisions of this code apply to contracts solicited or entered
into on or after said date, although the parties to a contract may agree to the
application of this code to a contract solicited or entered into prior to January 1,
1982.
(2)Contracts validly entered into prior to January 1, 1982, and the rights,
duties, and interests flowing from them remain valid on or after said date and may
be terminated, performed, or enforced as required or permitted by any statute or
other law amended or repealed by the enactment of this code as though such
repeal or amendment had not occurred unless the parties agreed at the time of
formation of such contract that the provisions of this code would apply.
