Text
(1)In addition to any other applicable requirement specified in the code, no compost
may be purchased by a governmental body unless the compost satisfies minimum
standards specified by the department of agriculture.
(2)For purposes of this section, compost means a substance derived from
a process of biologically degrading organic materials that contains one or more
essential available plant nutrients and that complies with minimum standards for
the identification of such substance specified by the commissioner of agriculture by
rule.
