Text
(1)The
department shall establish a statewide procurement card program. All
governmental bodies that utilize a procurement card shall participate in the
statewide program. For purposes of this section, governmental body has the same
meaning as set forth in section 24-101-301 (18); except that, for purposes of this
section, governmental body also includes elected officials.
(2)Governmental bodies that are not subject to the Procurement Code,
articles 101 to 112 of this title 24, or the fiscal rules are subject to this section;
except that, on and after December 1, 2010, this section does not apply to an
institution of higher education that has elected to be excluded from the meaning of
governmental body pursuant to section 24-101-301 (18).
