Text
When any able-bodied person
is confined in the county jail, having been convicted of the nonsupport of his or her
spouse or minor children, the county shall pay toward the support of such spouse or
minor children not less than fifty cents nor more than one dollar per day for each
day such person so works if such spouse or minor children would otherwise be a
public charge.
