Text
A.In addition to any other fine or restitution, if a person is convicted of or adjudicated delinquent for a violation of chapter 34 of this title, the court may order the person to pay a fine in one of the following amounts:
1.For a first offense, at least one thousand dollars.
2.For a second or subsequent offense, at least two thousand dollars.
B.The court may suspend the imposition of a fine pursuant to this section if the person agrees to enter a residential drug rehabilitation program approved by the court and to pay for all or a part of the costs associated with the rehabilitation program. On successfully completing the program, the person may apply to the court for a reduction in the amount of the fine imposed pursuant to this section. If the person establishes to the satisfac
