Text
(a)(1) Any owner of livestock upon receiving notice either verbal or otherwise that the livestock is at large and trespassing upon the land, premises, and crops of another person shall immediately retrieve the livestock and thereafter confine it so that further depredations and damages shall be avoided.
(2)(A) (i) If for twenty-four (24) hours after notification being given to him or her, the owner shall fail, neglect, or refuse to retrieve the trespassing livestock, the owner shall be guilty of a violation.
(ii)The Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission may impose a civil penalty not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000) per violation of this chapter or violation of any rules promulgated under this chapter.
