Text
(a)As used in this section:
(1)"Local legislation" means any ordinance, motion, resolution, amendment, regulation, or rule adopted by a political subdivision of this state; and (2) "Political subdivision" means any local governmental entity including without limitation, any city, county, township, or municipal corporation and any other body corporate and politic that is responsible for government activities in a geographical area smaller than that of the state.
(b)No political subdivision shall:
(1)Regulate the registration, packaging, labeling, sale, storage, distribution, use, or application of fertilizers; or (2) Adopt or continue in effect local legislation relating to the registration, packaging, labeling, sale, storage, distribution, use, or application of fertilizers.
