§ 17-93-403 — Penalties

(a) Any person who violates a provision of this subchapter is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500) or by imprisonment for not less than thirty (30) days nor more than one hundred eighty (180) days, or both. (b) After notice and hearing, the Arkansas State Board of Athletic Training is also authorized to levy a civil penalty against any person licensed under the provisions of this subchapter after a finding that the person has violated any of the provisions of this subchapter or any rules promulgated by the board. (c) Civil penalties assessed by the board shall be no more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) per incident. (d) In addition to any other sanctions authorized by this subchapter, the board may impose a civil penalty as provided in this section against any unlicensed person practicing or offering to practice any actions requiring licensure pursuant to the provisions of this subchapter.
