§ 17-90-304 — Renewal - Failure to renew

(a)(1) Except as provided in subdivision (a)(2) of this section, a registered optometrist shall pay annually a reasonable sum, to be fixed by the State Board of Optometry, to the Secretary-treasurer of the State Board of Optometry as a license renewal fee on or before February 1 each year.
(2)The board shall waive the annual renewal fee for all registered optometrists if the registered optometrist:
(A)Holds a license to practice optometry in the State of Arkansas; and (B) Is an active duty member of the United States Armed Forces or a member of the Arkansas National Guard on state active duty.
(b)The failure to pay the license renewal fee by any licensee may cause his or her license to be revoked or suspended, or other such penalties as provided in § 17-90-305 , after thirty (30) days'
