Each applicant must meet the following conditions:

(1)The applicant must be an individual at least eighteen (18) years of age;

(2)[Repealed.]

(3)(A) The applicant must have successfully completed the academic requirements of an educational program in occupational therapy with concentration in biological or physical science, psychology, and sociology, and with education in selected manual skills.

(B)For an occupational therapist, the program shall be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education and shall lead to the awarding of a bachelor's or master's level degree or advanced standing certificate in occupational therapy.

(C)For an occupational therapy assistant, the program shall be approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education

(C) For an occupational therapy assistant, the program shall be approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education and shall lead to the awarding of an associate level degree in occupational therapy; (4) The applicant must have successfully completed a period of supervised field work experience at a recognized educational institution where he or she met the following academic requirements: (A) For an occupational therapist, a minimum of six (6) months of supervised field work experience is required; or (B) For an occupational therapy assistant, a minimum of two (2) months of supervised field work experience at an approved facility other than the one at which the person was previously employed, if applicable, is required; and (5) The applicant must have passed an examination conducted by the Arkansas State Medical Board as provided in § 17-88-304 .
