§ 17-82-205 — Meetings - Officers

(a) (1) The Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners shall hold at least one (1) regular annual meeting between May 15 and July 15 of each year. (2) The specific date is to be determined by the board. (b) (1) At the annual meeting, the board shall elect a president, a vice president, and a secretary-treasurer. (2) The terms of these officers shall be for one (1) year and until their successors are elected and assume the duties of their office. (3) All officers of the board shall assume the duties of their office on September 1 of the year of their election. (4) The Secretary-treasurer of the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners shall execute to the board a bond satisfactory to the board to secure the faithful performance of his or her duties and proper accountability for all funds of the board coming into his or her possession or control. (c) Special meetings of the board may be called by the President of the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners at any time, upon giving five (5) days' written notice to the members, unless written notice is waived by the members. (d) A majority of the board constitutes a quorum for the transaction of all business coming before it. (e) All proceedings of the board shall be recorded in a permanently bound minute book.
