§ 17-49-213 — Issuance and use of license

(a) Upon the approval and issuance of the application and upon compliance with the terms of this subchapter, the Department of Finance and Administration shall issue to the applicant a license as an itinerant merchant. (b) The license shall: (1) Be numbered; (2) Show the amount of fees paid; (3) Specifically describe the itinerant merchant and the motor vehicle as they are described in the application; (4) At all times be carried in the cab of the motor vehicle described; and (5) At all times be subject to inspection by any officer authorized to enforce this subchapter. (c) The department shall also issue to the itinerant merchant a license plate containing the same number as the license, of distinctive color and size, which shall at all times be displayed on the rear of the motor vehicle described in the license. (d) No license or license plate issued pursuant to this subchapter may be sold or transferred, and no license or license plate may be transferred from one vehicle to another.
