(a)A person who shows to the satisfaction of the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors that he or she is a person over twenty-one (21) years of age is eligible for licensure as a professional surveyor if he or she qualifies under one (1) of the following provisions:
(1)A person holding a certificate of licensure to engage in the practice of land surveying issued to him or her on the basis of a written examination by proper authority of a state, territory, possession of the United States, the District of Columbia, or any foreign country, based on requirements and qualifications as shown on his or her application that in the opinion of the board are equal to or higher than the requirements of this chapter may be licensed at the discretion of the boa
