Text

(a)Each licensed alcoholism and drug abuse counselor, licensed associate alcoholism and drug abuse counselor, and certified alcoholism and drug abuse technician shall:
(1)Renew his or her license or certificate every two (2) years; and (2) Pay the State Board of Examiners of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors a renewal fee fixed by the board.
(b)(1) Renewal fees shall be waived for any licensee or person certified actually serving in the United States Armed Forces.
(2)A waiver under subdivision (b)(1) of this section shall be effective for six (6) months following honorable discharge, separation, or release from the United States Armed Forces, after which period a license or certificate shall be considered lapsed.
