Opinion

Appeal from a decision of the Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board, filed September 10, 2002, which ruled that claimant was disqualified from receiving unemployment insurance benefits because his employment was terminated due to misconduct.

Claimant was employed as a traffic enforcement agent by the New York City Police Department. He submitted his resignation following notification that unless he resigned, his employment [680]*680would be terminated due to his guilty plea in connection with assault charges.
