Examinations of applicants for a license to practice podiatry shall be in the English language and shall include both clinical and written tests as the board shall determine. The examinations shall embrace the subjects of histology, surgery, hygiene, dermatology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, bacteriology, pathology, diagnosis and treatment, pharmacology, therapeutics, clinical podiatry and such other subjects as the board may prescribe, a knowledge of which is commonly and generally required by the practitioners of podiatry. This section shall not be construed to require of the applicant a medical or surgical education.
